Meet Polish Air Force "Iskra" Demo team

The team story goes back to 1969 and begins in the town of Radom. Initially there are four TS-11 "Iskra (Spark)" aircraft. In 1991 the team changes its name to an aerobatic team “Sparks”. Four talented pilots perform their mastery of manoeuvring flying as a formation. In the late 90s the aerobatic formation eventually includes 9 aircraft.

Form the very beginning pilots fly TS-11 "Iskra (Spark)" aircraft. In 1991 the aircraft is upgraded and equipped with a new radio-navigation system. The upgrade goes further – Sparks are now painted white and red which resembles the colours of Polish national flag.

In 2000 the aerobatic formation is transferred to the 1st Aviation Training Centre in the city of Deblin. In the same year the formation changes its name to "White-Red Sparks". New logo, image and name recall Polish national colours.
